Question: Is it possible for a vegan to date a non-vegan?

Many of my friends who choose to live a vegan lifestyle say that they would never enter into a relationship with somebody who isnt vegan as well, or at least transitioning to it. In fact, 56% of American vegans feel the same about dating a non-vegan.

Why are vegans so judgmental?

However, vegans may also come over as more judgmental to people than we actually are. Thats because many people feel guilty about consuming products they know are not in accordance with their values. The judgment they feel coming from vegans, may be their own judgment of themselves.

Why are vegans so defensive?

One is that vegans make people feel guilty. People tend to interpret someones choice not to eat meat as condemnation of their own choices, which can make them pretty defensive. Vegans also represent a threat to the status quo, and cultural changes make people anxious.

Are vegans stuck up?

Even though the trend is upwards, vegans are still going to have a hard time eating out with their non-vegan friends or family members. Summary: Veganism is trending upward, but vegans are still in the minority and their food options still remain fairly limited compared to other diets.
