Monster High has been cancelled. In 2016, Mattel, in dire financial straits following the loss of the Disney Princesses line to Hasbro, rebooted Monster High and tried to aim it at a younger audience.

Will Monster High come back?

Mattel Inc. and Nickelodeon have entered into a ghoulish partnership to reboot the franchise based on the kids of famous monsters and mythical creatures. As part of the deal, Monster High will relaunch in 2022 with an animated series, and — for the first time ever — a live-action movie musical event.

Will Monster High make more movies?

The ViacomCBS-owned network will premiere the two projects in 2022. The animated series will follow the characters as they navigate the hilarity of high school in the hallowed halls of Monster High. It will be showrun by Shea Fontana, who has worked on DC Superhero Girls.
