Heres how it works: when you set up your profile, youre given a series of questions that you can elect to skip or answer, which then contribute to your match percentage with prospective matches (a.k.a. how compatible you are with someone). Youre only required to answer 15, but the average OkCupid user answers 50.

How does OkCupid match?

OkCupid matches you with people based on the information both you and your potential matches submit on the app. Then, OkCupid asks you how you would like someone else to answer that question, and prompts you with the same options; thats the second part of the question.

Do you have to pay to see matches on OkCupid?

How many questions should you answer on OkCupid?

We have about 4,000 questions in our system, and were adding more every day! Dont worry though, you dont need to answer all 4,000! We suggest answering between 50 and 100 to get started.
