Question: Can you use 240v in a motorhome?

We recommend that you plug into the 240 volt power every 1 to 2 days to completely recharge your house battery. To connect to the 240 volt power, check the main campsite power supply is turned off, insert the power cord to the motorhome and insert the other end of the cable into the campsite power. Turn the power on.

What is the difference between 12v and 240v?

12V boats have a cigar lighter socket on board which means that all you are able to charge is your mobile phone in the same way as you would in a car. Some boats have a 240V power supply however. This means that they may have 3 pin sockets on board.

Can you use normal appliances in a motorhome?

When you are connected to motorhome or campervan mains hook up, all your appliances and sockets will work, including 240v appliances as long as the amps provided are enough.

Are 240-volt appliances more efficient?

240V is most common for electrical appliances which require more power, such as a dryer, electric stove, or hot tub. There is no difference in efficiency in our heaters between 120V and 240V (or any other voltage). The reason why 240V is advantageous for appliances and heaters in a home has to do with amperage.
